Dear Mr Schlee:
I need urgently two sets of the Pierrot Lunaire, parts and score. One for Mr Kurt Frederick who performed my Survivor from Warsaw, in Albuquerque and wants to perform now Pierrot Lunaire and the other for a performance in Chicago.
The Associated Music Publishers have not one copy of this piece which they can loan for more than a few days. Besides, my own set is incomplete as someone has failed to return the clarinet part. I don't know who. And I would like to have this set completed, will you send me also, besides these two copies, one clarinet part. I hope you can fulfill this at once and I want you to see to it that Mr Leibowitz receives the parts as fast as possible, because he writes me he wants already to start slowly to study with his performers the piece for his performance.
