| DRAFT OF LETTER TO BE SENT TO VIENNA
Gentlemen:
I wish to inform you that I am under a severe handicap in this country owing to the difficulty of the public being unable to obtain those works of mine which were published by you years ago.
I appreciate of course, the difficulties that exist today regarding the sending of music to the United States, and I would like to know whether you contemplate making any arrangements for the printing of these works here in order that the market may be supplied.
Certain of my works which have been published years ago, will come up for their renewal copyright shortly, and I would also like to know what arrangements are being made for this to be done correctly, for I could not possibly visage the loss of the 2nd period of copyright through their non-registration. I propose therefore, to arrange to register them myself at Washington and to claim the renewal copyright in my name.
With best wishes, I am,
Yours very truly,
