I, Arnold Schoenberg, now residing at 116 North Rockingham Avenue, Los Angeles, California, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make public and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, and I do hereby revoke any and all other Wills and Testaments, as well as Codicils to Wills heretoore made by me.
First: I direct my Executrix to pay all of my just debts, last illness and burial expenses.
Second: The following are my legal heirs: My wife, GERTRUD SCHOENBERG, my children by my present union, namely, DOROTHEA NURIA SCHOENBERG, RUDOPLH RONALD SCHOENBERG, and ADAM LAURENCE SCHOENBERG, all minors, my children by a previous marriage namely, GERTRUD GREISSLE, now residing at 100 West First Street, New York City, and GEORG SCHOENBERG, now residing at 5 Adolph Hitler Platz, Wiener Neudorf bei Moedlilng, Ostmark, Germany.
Third: I appoint as Executrix of this will my said wife, GERTRUD SCHOENBERG, and request that she shall not be obliged to give any bond or other surety for the performance of her duties hereunder. If my said wife shall be unable to act as Executrix by reason of her death, resignation, refusal or legal disability, then I nominate nad appoint MARICE THORNER of Los Angeles, California to act in her place and stead and request that he, too, shall be excused from giving any bond or other security for the performance of his duties.
Fourth: In the event that my said wife should predecease me, then I nominate my brother-in-law RUDOLPH KOLISCH of New York City to be the Guardian of the persons and property of my children during their minority, and I request that he shall not be required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of his duties as such Guardian in any jurisdiction.
Fifth: All of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, whether consisting of real, personal or mixed property, and wherever situated, of which I shall die possessed, or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my death, I give, devise and bequeath to my said wife, GERTRUD SCHOENBERG, absolutely, and in the event my said wife shall predecease me, or shall die before a Decree of Distribution is made hereunder, then in that event all of my said property shall go to DOROTHEA NURIA SCHOENBERG, ADAM LAURENCE SCHOENBERG, and RUDOPLH RONALD SCHOENBERG in equal shares.
Sixth: Except otherwise provided in this Will, I have intentionally and with full knowledge failed to provide for my heirs, mentioned in the second paragraph hereof, the adult children there mentioned having been heretofore provided for by me.
The forgoing instrument is subscribed by me on the fifth day of October, 1943, at Los Angeles, California.

The foregoing instrument, consisting of two pages, including the page signed by the Testator, was subscribed on the date which it bears, by the Testator, ARNOLD SCHOENBERG, and at the time of subscribing was declared by him to be his Last Will. The subscription and declaration were made in our presence, we being present at the same time; and we, at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have signed the instrument as witnesses.
